Lusail SC Strengthens Community Engagement with Visit to Doha British School

Lusail Sports Club players visited Doha British School as part of a community and sporting initiative aimed at promoting positive values, teamwork and communication through sport. The players took part in a friendly match with students aged 15 to 17, followed by a gift presentation and commemorative photos.

As part of Lusail Sports Club’s vision, which places the development of people at the heart of its mission and recognizes the role of sport in instilling values, strengthening identity, and building bridges of communication among different members of society, a number of first-team football players from the club visited Doha British School as part of a sporting and community event aimed at strengthening engagement with students and promoting positive values through sport.

The visit featured Franco Russo, Hossam Kamal, George Stoyanovski, and Thiago Goss. The players shared an enjoyable sporting experience with the school’s students and took part in a short football match with a group of students aged between 15 and 17.

The initiative reflects the club’s belief that the integration of education, upbringing, and sport is a fundamental pillar in developing individuals. Education builds knowledge, upbringing instills values and identity, while sport promotes discipline, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. This aligns with the State of Qatar’s vision of promoting a culture of sport, investing in people, and developing generations that play an active role in society.

Following the match, the Lusail players distributed motivational gifts to the students and took commemorative photographs with them, creating an atmosphere that highlighted the importance of sport as a means of bringing people together, strengthening communication, and fostering a spirit of participation.

The visit forms part of Lusail Sports Club’s efforts to strengthen its community presence, promote the concept of sports diplomacy, and reinforce its identity as a club whose role extends beyond competition on the pitch.
