In line with the vision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the State’s commitment to supporting, empowering, and integrating persons with disabilities into society, and as part of the ongoing implementation and development of the Memorandum of Understanding between Lusail Sports Club and the Qatar Social Work Foundation, the two parties continue to strengthen their areas of joint cooperation during the 2026/2027 sports season. This collaboration aims to support community initiatives and projects, connect sport with social responsibility, and serve various segments of society. The development of this cooperation builds on the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed between the two parties. During the new season, the scope of joint efforts will be expanded through the implementation of a number of community initiatives and programs, with a particular focus on supporting and empowering persons with disabilities, enhancing their participation, and promoting their inclusion in sporting and community activities and events. This coincides with Lusail Sports Club’s participation in the First Division League, further strengthening the club’s social mission both on and off the field.
As part of the cooperation for the new season, the Qatar Social Work Foundation logo will appear on the shorts of the first team’s official kit. This step reflects the depth of cooperation between the two organizations and underscores the importance of using sport as an influential platform to raise community awareness and promote the values of participation, solidarity, and social responsibility.
Lusail Sports Club affirms that developing its cooperation with the Qatar Social Work Foundation forms part of its strategic approach to building sustainable partnerships that deliver meaningful and lasting impact. These partnerships extend beyond the sporting sphere to contribute to serving the community and supporting national strategic plans, particularly projects aimed at empowering and integrating persons with disabilities. This is in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the objectives of the State and the Ministry of Sports and Youth to strengthen the role of sports organizations in community development.
