Lusail makes its historic debut against Al Rayyan in the Doha Bank Stars League
Tomorrow's match is of great importance to our team as it marks its first appearance in the top flight, after winning the Second Division title last season, thus securing its place among the Doha Bank Stars League clubs and writing a new chapter in its footballing history.
Lusail enters the match with high ambitions, aiming for a positive result in its opening game despite the strength of the opponent. The team relies on a distinguished group of professional and local players, along with the technical leadership of Portuguese coach Emanuel Mesquita, who seeks to make his mark with the team and achieve a strong start in his debut among the elite.
The management of Lusail Club, headed by Mr. Nawaf Al-Mudahka, was keen to provide all the elements of success for the team before the start of the season, through concluding a number of strong contracts aimed at strengthening the team’s ranks in various positions, in addition to holding an external camp in the Netherlands, during which the team undertook a comprehensive preparatory program before returning to Doha and completing the preparations and training in preparation for the new season.
